But here's one I got today May 22, 2009, since I decided to post it here, I got a little VERBOSE in my response to Steve, maybe it's more a rant than a reply?? :-) From:

If we look at the methods of Politicians, they poll, and attempt to ‘appease’ those they think might re-elect them. Example: If they get mail from folks that believe we can power cars on Moon beams, they might attempt to capture this ‘voting block’ by returning emails that they’re all for it! This propels the myth.. If you’ve had an introduction to physics class, and have mastered eighth grade math, you know a lot of things being sold to the public right now are proven down right ridiculous. A large chunk of the Green movement have been ‘captured’ and are being used as ‘useful idiots’. Visit the California CARB website, this is one of the Political instruments that is helping to destroy our economy in countless ways, many of their decisions likely help to create more pollution over methods and standards set by the EPA, the CARB is simply a tail waging the dog, and a lot more damage will be done BEFORE people in other States figure it out. They’ll likely continue to let the glue sniffers in California ban highly efficient autos like the new Honda that gets 62 real MPG, it was ready for import in late 2009, early 2010, Carb changed requirements on Honda after they worked hard to meet the requirements. The unfortunate part is Honda thinks it’s too complicated to Export a 49 state approved model. With all this said, we should respect California’s right to destroy their economy, Harbor any number of illegal aliens, offer them all free housing, and even offer them cheaper rates for college tuition than they offer American citizens (being challenged in court now). BUT.. should they (California) continue to set standards for all of us? Should we pay for their mistakes? Automotive manufacturers ignore EPA standards, they feel forced to meet CARB, we pay. The more intelligent people might rally and then benefit from owning a truly reliable and efficient auto with KISS engineering, none of the complexity and expense of the hybrids and even better mileage, (the Honda and others Banned by CARB, legal by EPA standards). We need let California police their borders and keep non conforming vehicles out! But as long as Career Politicians rule over science, this may never happen. There are two Greens, one places their blind faith in people like Al Gore, the other Green invests the few minutes to do their own calculations. To argue global warming with the typical greenie is less rewarding than watching mold grow. They are ‘cocksure’ they have all the answers, they know exactly how much is nature, and how much man has contributed. The rest of us know just how complex the planet is, the interdependencies cause our minds to go into overload. We can look at single cell organisms, one of the smallest entities in nature, we note that politicians and those who support them still have no cure for Cancer, (a Single cell), yet they claim they understand the interdependencies of the whole planet. I say we give them a chance to prove themselves, show us you understand this single cell, give us a cure for Cancer, and then we might listen to your theories of far more complicated things. Al Gore will one day be Proven the Car Salesmen he is, he has made millions upon millions already, and if he and his friends can pull of this Carbon Credit, Cap and Trade fiasco they’ll likely make Bill Gates look poor, and all at your expense. All he needs is useful idiots, and we’ve had a surplus of them since time began. Utterpower is all about the ‘other green’, the green that REAL science, and reality can embrace. All the best!
